The brewery Dupont is co-writer of a real part of the Belgian beer history.
Situated in Tourpes (Leuze-en-Hainaut), in the centre of West-Hainaut, and incorporated in an old farm, originally dating from 1759, the brewing has been going on since 1844.
The original beer was a “Saison Beer”, meaning that this beer was brewed in the winter, to be drunk in the following summer by the workers (seasonworkers) on the fields.
Ever since 1950, the brewery Dupont has been specialised in the production of top fermentation beers with refermentation in the botlle.
The most famous beers are Moinette blond en Saison Dupont…
A part of our production is qualified as organic beer with the label Biogarantie®: Moinette biologique – Saison bio - Biolégère – Bière de miel...
We still brew the traditional way and our yearly production reaches up to 18.000 hectolitres.
In export we have a number of countries as: States, Japan, Canada, France, Italy, The Netherlands, England…
In our farm-brewery you also find our traditional cheese-makery. Here we produce four different cheeses “affininated” with our beer.
Tradition and quality: the two key-words reflecting the Brewery Dupont philosophy.
