1759: Our roots in Tourpes

It all began with a small farm in Hainaut. Some fertile land and farming know-how would lay the foundations for a unique brewing adventure.

1844: The Rimaux-Derrider Era

The farm became a farm-brewery, producing honey and “Saisonbeers, designed to quench the thirst of farm workers toiling away in the heat of the summer sun.

1920: La belle province

Louis Dupont dreamed of heading off to Canada, but his father Alfred convinced him to stay in Belgium by buying the brewery for him. Louis brought the recipe for the “Saison” beer back to life, and it went on to become the iconic Saison Dupont

1945: Ingenuity at the Service of Tradition

Visionary engineer Sylva Rosier took over the reins and saved the brewery after the war. He launched the pils beer Rédor, without forgetting the heritage of craft beers.

1970-1990: The brewery: a family affair

Sylva’s children, Claude, Marc, and Ghislaine, played a key role.

Claude Rosier: He developed the Rola laboratory, responsible for carrying out tests for the brewery, the malting plant and other businesses.

Marc Rosier: He worked with his father and became a pioneer of organic beers with the Moinette Biologique and the Saison Bio in 1990.
The range continued to grow in the 1990s and 2000s, with beers including the organic Bière de Miel, Biolégère and Blanche du Hainaut.

1992: An International Adventure

Dupont beers travel across borders to conquer the world, without ever forgetting their roots in Belgian soil.

2002 - Passing on the Torch

Olivier Dedeycker, engineer and brewer at the Brasserie Dupont since 1990 and grandson of Sylva Rosier, took over from Marc Rosier and kept things in the family, taking on the responsibility of the savoir-faire handed down over four generations.

2019 - A Living Heritage

Production reached 30,000 hl, a combination of tradition and innovation that reflects the very essence of the Brasserie Dupont: a business that is growing, whilst also remaining faithful to its roots.

2022 - Expansion in Leuze

A logistics warehouse was set up in the Leuze-en-Hainaut area to support the development of the brewery.

It brings together areas for storage of finished products, order preparation and packaging, as well as a hot room for second fermentation and a cold room for hops.
