Ever since it began, the Brasserie Dupont has been committed to producing beers with plenty of character, whilst also respecting its key values: authenticity, tradition, sustainability and local roots. We live and breathe our passion for our products, a commitment to honing our savoir-faire and our desire to keep on getting better and better. We pass on our knowledge and train our teams across generations, building up our cultural heritage for more than 100 years.

Local and European raw materials

 

How we choose our ingredients is right at the heart of our commitment. We use local and European raw materials wherever we can. This approach supports the local economy, reduces the environmental impact of transport and guarantees the quality of our products.

Most of the sugar that we use comes from local beetroot, processed in Fontenoy. We also work with 3 Belgian growers for some of our hop supplies.

We are members of the Orge Brassicole network, encompassing growers, maltsters and brewers. We rely on this network to source our malt, which is produced from Belgian barley.

This barley, grown by the network, means that we can offer fair compensation to more than 100 farmers, thus guaranteeing a sustainable, responsible strategy.

but not just glass!

 

A can, a more sustainable option.

As part of our CSR policy, we have recently introduced the Saison Dry Hop in a 33cl can. Lightweight and 100%, endlessly recyclable, aluminium cans reduces our carbon footprint, because they take less energy to produce than glass. They are also more ecological to transport, because they are lighter and more compact. With a high rate of recycling, they generate less waste and preserve resources. A practical, sustainable choice for the future!

Each item that we offer is carefully chosen to comply with all sorts of quality, social responsibility and environmental standards. To do this, we work with a number of recognised labels that guarantee these standards.

We make a huge effort to reinforce our positive impact and use innovative strategies from installing solar panels and recovering energy at different stages in the process to sustainable water use.

We are also questioning the CO2 footprint of Brasserie Dupont and analyzing ways to reduce it.

Every day, we strive to combine brewing traditions with respect for the environment, with a brewery that keeps getting more sustainable.
